Megan Huffadine

Megan’s art practice of drawing, painting and sculpture involves environmental concerns as well as a focus on how people express personal identity and history through the objects they make, gather and own. Her background in archaeology and museum practices has a strong influence on the work she makes.

Plant material, remnants and discards are sketched from memory, scale is altered and developed into new forms. These are composed into multi piece sculptural works and paintings.

Megan’s qualifications include a B.A, Post Graduate Diploma in Anthropology, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts. She has exhibited in group and solo exhibitions throughout New Zealand as well as holding awards for her work.
